控制的电脑（server）配置可高些，播放的电脑（audio pc）配置可低些。但我目前的经验，最好把audio pc的内存弄大点。

俺过去在电脑上播Tippet的Triple Concerto，基本是听不下去的。
现在Jplay在hibernate模式下播放效果相当不错了。:victory:

同意！server要性能，audioPC要稳定和大内存。

补充下官方的几点意见：


1. dual PC is 'high-end option' and not a requirement :)

more about the reasons and experiences when we release JPLAY 5 but to answer your question NOTHING changes related to your 'good old optimized' Buffer settings from JPLAY 4: it's still up to AudioPC/driver/DAC :)
Your 'client PC' (=anything you have now :)is, in theory, totally irrelevant so yes, it can be 'low powered'…
(mind you, Marcin has done some tests and, being him, he of course found some 'interesting' things but let's leave that discussion for later, ok? :)

2. correct – don't attach any disks to AudioPC :)
the idea of AudioPC is to simply take to absolute extremes what we have been doing so far with just software (witness ultra-extreme Hibernate mode) i.e. to eliminate as much 'fat/noise' from typical Windows PC as possible so, in the end, it becomes pretty much unusable as general-purpose PC and can only stream music bits we only care so deeply about :)

(unfortunately we can never strip Windows 'to the bone' as it simply was not designed for our maniacal undertaking but it's what's in millions of people's houses so we're forced to make the best of what we have for better or worse :)

3.if your NAS is based on Linux (as most are) then it won't work (well, at least not for now)

in theory we might make it work but that's, well, theory or 'future possible directions' for now….:)

这个管理员说到的一个很重要一点，就是音质取决于做客户端的电脑/ 驱动 / usb解码本身。

至于控制端是否影响，他们还在测试

这个论坛上我还了解到可能正确的一点。就算jplay，SSD和机械硬盘声音还是有差别，但那是振动带来的，而不是说存储在哪里有区别。

俺两个电脑都是SSD:victory:
下一步打算投入到新DAC上了，PC先搁一搁，目前已经挺满意了。

个人感觉beta5应该做成既能在两台电脑 也能在一台电脑上使用
这样对于用户可以根据自己的需要来选择对应的版本 一刀切的做法实在有点反人类

今天大体用了下，感觉这个beta版基本不能算beta版吧。。。。alpha版的难算:L
看来大家选择先用4.3版是非常明智的。
5估计还有好长一段路要走。
