When iMAC -> TOSLINK -> DAC2, the playback is using the CLOCK of iMAC.
When iMAC -> Firewire -> DAC2, the playback is using the MASTER CLOCK   
of DAC2.

(1) The MASTER CLOCK of DAC2 is better than cheap computer clock.
(2) Toslink is not a good digital interface = High Jitter\
(3) Even using Toslink to Weiss DAC2, the signal goes through DAC2   
superior dejittering circuit. The person who cannot hear the Toslink   
different with Firewire, is mainly based on this reason.
(4) Max. resolution of iMAC optical output is 24bit/96kHz
(5) Max. resolution of Weiss Firewire is 24bit/192kHz.

光纤输入，可以看到amarra时钟是来源spdif的，而且不会自动切换回internal:D

继续优化mac是个不错的方向。

这个回复的意思有两个：
1. DAC2的DEJITTER很厉害以致光纤连接的表现和火线比也能不相上下
2. LZ耳朵听不出区别

这个差异跟解码器很有关系，火线与光纤是不同种类接口，要看解码器对不同接口信号是怎么处理的。大家听到的是解码器处理不同接口能力的差异，而不是真正的接口性能差异。换台解码器很可能会得出截然相反的结论。

btw, LZ的情况里 最基本的差别就是sync source的不同了
